FPEC recently installed new cascade systems to fill the SCBA units in four fire stations in Dinwiddie County. To prepare them for delivery of their new G1 SCBA units from MSA, FPEC upgraded Dinwiddie’ 4500 psi systems—which worked with their old 2216 psi SCBA—to new 6000 psi systems. These banks of cascade cylinders are piped together and then connected to a fill station to keep Dinwiddie’s G1 units ready to roll when needed.
